Q&A for Hunting

Weapons Used

From Christoph Otte

I take it that the spear was one of the more common hunting weapons and armor hardly used at all? Which other weapons, apart from javelin and bow, have been used, if any?
In Gawaine and the Green Knight the host, Sir Bercilak, wades into the water to fight a ferocious boar. However, this is presented as an example of extreme bravery, and not considered normal.
So, normally, the weapons you named are used: pear, bow, javelin, and perhaps crossbow.

If a knight uses the lance skill to charge with a spear, the spear will also break after a damage-roll with an odd-number, correct?
Correct.

Inspiration While Hunting

From Darren Hill

If you able to inspire your Hunting skill, does it apply for the whole day, or just one round?
One round.

Horses while hunting

From Stephen538554
I assume when doing things like border patrol and hunting player knights will be riding Rouncys and not have their chargers to hand.
That is correct. No expects to need chargers for the normal prey, although if they have a courser, they will use that instead of a rouncy.
Although, of course, if it is a hunt for monsters (gryphon, lion, etc.) then chargers (and armor) will be used.

From Christoph Otte

Would a deer, bear or any other animal of that kind get a negative reflexive modifier if the knight was seated on a horse?
No.
